Many aspiring athletes and coaches face major obstacles in reaching their full potential due to limited access to quality coaching and the difficulties of providing personalized guidance. Athletes often deal with financial constraints, long distances from training facilities, or busy schedules, which make it hard for them to get the one-on-one coaching they need to improve. Similarly, coaches struggle to connect with and provide tailored instruction to every athlete, leading to missed opportunities for both sides to achieve their goals.
FormOle is fully automated using artificial intelligence as it takes a video as input and uses computer vision solutions and deep learning algorithms to get insights out of it. It also performs mathematical calculations to yield highly accurate results and provides users with guidelines to better themselves.
Formole is now a renowned product developed using advanced computer vision and AI analysis for sports videos that offer virtual coaching to soccer athletes, empowering them to practice soccer skills, boost performance, and contribute to team success. It assists soccer clubs and coaches in talent scouting and identification while offering personalized training programs for athletes.
A significant challenge was converting traditional soccer coaching into a virtual format. We needed to develop a computer vision sports solution that could effectively replace manual coaching with automated, accurate virtual guidance.
When connecting to multiple athletes and coaches, each athlete has their own location. Our virtual sports coaching app goal was to overcome issues like distance and scheduling, offering seamless access to personalized coaching.
Ensuring highly accurate AI analysis on sports videos presented a significant challenge. FormOle needed to develop a robust Automated sports coaching solution that could deliver precise and reliable feedback on athletes’ movements and performance to enhance their training experience.
We aligned with the business vision to develop a thorough project brief, which included extensive market research, competitor analysis, and relevant data. We then brought the concept to life by defining a detailed list of user stories and features, such as capturing live soccer events and kicks and integrating AI analysis to validate the core assumptions of the MVP.
We started by designing the key screens to show the client the product’s look. After refining the UX/UI through client feedback. Once these primary screens were finalized, we expanded the design to cover all additional screens and delivered the complete UX/UI for the product.
At this stage, we focus on developing the Virtual sports coaching app by crafting the architecture of the AI model and training it.
After the product launch, we collected feedback from end-users to refine and enhance the product. We introduced new iterations and features concurrently to ensure an optimal user experience.
Every athlete can upload their sports videos and receive automated, highly accurate AI analysis for their pace, movements, and postures to help them improve and excel with every session.
Users can easily share their AI analysis results on social media platforms to showcase their journey and progress with their friends as they work towards becoming a pro.
